Ground fault circuit interrupter provides protection against electrical shocks. Meets the newest auto self-test 2015 UL943 safety standard requirements. Performs self test to ensure integrity of GFCI protection, meaning an automatic test shall be initiated within 5 seconds of power availability to the line or load terminals, the automatic test shall be repeated at least every 3 hours. The device will trip and will not reset if GFCI protection is not available. The status indicator light will glow red notifying the user there is no power and the device must be replaced. Easy to use horizontal test/reset button alignment for larger unobstructed area. Trip indicator light notifies user of a tripped condition. Features safety shutter system that prevents the insertion of foreign objects into the receptacle openings. The safety shutters will only open when a 2 bladed plug presses simultaneously against 2 shutters. Automatic grounding system eliminates need for bonding jumper in grounded metal enclosure. New patented tamper resistant shutter design for an amazingly smooth and easy plug in. TR feature meets latest code preventing objects from being inserted into the openings.Longer, wider bridged strap provides 40% more contact area with wallboard for better alignment and less floating.
